A Collectible Pair of Blanchard #5 SS Single Mounted Spurs with Studded Straps

Available here for your consideration is a rare find for E.F. Blanchard spurs because they are mounted with card suite designs. They are a pair of #5 SS pattern spurs and come with studded straps that really add a nice look. The spurs are marked E.F. BLANCHARD and YUCCA ARIZ. The heel bands are accented with hand made overlays representing a suite of cards and the handmade rowels have 16 points. The spotted straps also have a large concho.  Blanchard was a popular early spur maker in the Southwestern part of the United States. One unique feature of most of Blanchard's spurs is the angled swinging style of the button. Short shanks and wide heel bands are also a definite mark of Blanchard's style.
