DESCRIPTION: For your consideration here is a very nice and unique old spade bit. It is handmade with silver and copper inlay designs on the shanks and slobber bar. It has a Las Cruces style design with a "poco" spade and old rein chains still on it. Even the spade has been decorated with chased designs and copper inlay. There is an old collection tag attached which says, "Made for Alta McMillan Shandon, California."
MAKER: Unmarked, but appears to be Juan Flores style.
APPROX AGE: Circa early 1900s.
SIZE: It has a 4-3/4 inch mouth piece. It is 8 inches long overall.
CONDITION: Good for its age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
