Description: This is a great vintage bolo tie attributed to the Zuni master, Ralph Quam. He was well known for this Chief's profile design. It is inlayed with shell, black onyx, turquoise, and other shells in sterling silver. The cord is braided black leather with sterling silver tips.
Maker: Unsigned, but attributed to Ralph Quam.
Approx Age: Circa 1960s (has a Bennett, c-31 Pat. Pend clasp on the back).
Size: The bolo slide measures approx. 2-1/2 inches wide X 3 inches long. It's on a 38 inch long braided leather cord. Weighs 53.2 grams (with part of the cord on the scale as well).
Condition: Good for its age. Normal wear and minor imperfections expected on used and vintage items.
