Description: This is a great original painting from 1973. It features a mounted cowboy in a typical central Arizona desert scene. It is by the well-known artist, William Zivic.
William Zivic, was a self-taught artist, his lessons came under the big sky, in the mountains, on the open range, among the native plants and animals, from ranch hands and seasoned cowboys. Mr. Zivic is an artist captivated by the beauty and romance of the American West. A couple of interesting notes about Mr. Zivic: He was in the army with Elvis (same unit). He also knew John Wayne and sold the "Duke" several pieces of art while filming in the Tucson area.
