DESCRITION: Presented for sale here is a great old Bowie knife with bone handle by, Friedrich Herder, Solingen (Germany). It has just over a 9" clip point blade and a sheath. Friedrich Herder is known for their top quality knives produced in Solingen since 1623. Friedrich Herder is the oldest surviving knife making company in Germany.
MAKER: Stamped F. Herder A.SN - Friedrich Herder - Solingen, Germany.
APPROX AGE: Circa 1800s.
SIZE: Sheath measures 10 inches. Blade measures 9-1/8 inches, overall measures 14 inches.
