Available here for your consideration is an antique spade bit that has been attributed to Mike Morales based on engraving style and design. It features engraved silver overlay on the cheeks, accented by engraved silver conchos. The mouthpiece is designed with a high port spade with copper wraps and a brass cricket. It has swivel rein rings and an engraved overlay slobber bar that complements the overall craftsmanship. Mike Morales, was a master bit and spur maker known for his dedication to California-style craftsmanship, this piece reflects both the artistry and tradition of the vaquero. Morales began his career at just 15, apprenticing under the renowned G.S. Garcia and later established his own business in California, where he worked until his passing in 1934. This is a great old bit!
