Offered here is an early 1970s Zuni owl inlay necklace set. This set includes a squash blossom style necklace, cuff bracelet and ring. The necklace features a lovely naja style pendant in channel inlay created with turquoise, onyx, mother of pearl and other stones. The neckline is filled with ten matching owl pendants displayed on two strands of silver beads strung on a link chain. Silver findings complete the necklace nicely. The bracelet features five owl settings matching the necklace accented with silver dots and displayed on a two wire split shank terminal conjoined at the ends. The ring features one matching owl setting accented with three silver dots on each side and displayed on a two wire band conjoined into a single band. MAKER: The necklace and bracelet are hallmarked VB (conjoined) on a plate and the ring is hallmarked VB L. Zuni (etched). Velma and Blake Lesansee (Zuni). Both have been active since the 1950s and are known for their inlays of dragons, hummingbirds and owls. 
APPROX AGE: Circa early 1970s. 
SIZE: This necklace measures approximately 31 inches from end to end and the naja pendant measures 3 3/8 inches wide and 3 inches high. The neckline pendants measure 1 1/4 inches wide at the widest point x 1 7/8 inches from top to bottom. The bracelet measures 5 1/2 inches from end to end of the silver with a 1 3/8 inch gap (fits a 6 7/8 inch wrist). It measures 2 3/4 inches from top to bottom. The ring is a size 7 3/4 and measures 7/8 inch wide at the widest point x 1 3/8 inches from top to bottom. The total weight is 276.3 grams.
