Offered here for you is an interesting antique spade bit with a cross-hatch engraving style done by an unknown engraver. This cheek pieces accented with silver dots along with the cross-hatch engraving. It is fitted with a traditional spade mouthpiece with a cricket, copper wrapped braces and it also comes with rein chains attached. This example displays the utilitarian yet decorative qualities often seen in handmade Western bits and spurs. It would make a nice addition to any bit and spur collection!

APPROX AGE: Antique - circa first half 1900s.
SIZE: This bit measures approximately 5 inches wide at the mouth x 9 inches long on the cheeks.
