Offered here for your consideration is a "like new" apparently unused, Garcia spade bit from circa 1930s-60s. It features engraved silver and domed accents on the cheeks. The spade has copper and silver rollers and copper wrapped braces. It has slobber and rein chains. G.S. Garcia was the founder of Garcia Saddlery and retired in 1932. After that, his sons moved the business to Salinas, CA and the shop operated until 1966. This is an excellent example of a vintage Garcia bit made in Salinas during the period the sons operated the business. This bit in as good of condition as you could ever hope for. Don’t miss out!
MAKER: Hallmarked GARCIA SADDLERY CO. SALINAS, CA (stamped).
APPROX AGE: Circa 1930-60s.
SIZE: The mouth measures 5 1/8 inches wide and is 7 3/4 inches long overall on the cheeks.
CONDITION: Excellent for its age with minimal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
