Offered here for your consideration is a Lon Megargee (1883-1960) original oil painting of a Native Pueblo woman. This portrait shows a Pueblo woman wearing layered bead necklaces and a colorful shawl against a dark background. The artwork is displayed in a carved wooden frame. This is a visually compelling piece by a well-known and highly collectible artist and it would make an excellent addition to any collection of Western or Native themed art.
PROVENANCE: Cowboy Legacy Gallery.
MAKER: Singed L. Megargee. Lon Megargee (1883-1960). Arizona artist who has commissioned works for the Santa Fe Railroad and the Arizona State Capitol Building.
APPROX AGE: Vintage/antique.
SIZE: The frame measures approximately 17 inches wide x 20 inches tall. The artwork measures 11 inches wide x 14 inches tall.
