Description: A great old pair of black wooly (angora) chaps. Wooly chaps became popular in the late 1800's and remain highly collectible to this day. Originally they were designed to protect cowboys who worked in colder wetter regions. However, because of their look, they were also popular with Wild West Show performers.
Maker: Unknown.
Approx Age: Late 19th or early 20th century.
Size: Measures approx 37 inches around the waist and 38 inches in length.
Condition: Pretty good for their age with normal wear and minor imperfections expected, but please note the belt has been replaced on them. It looks like this was probably done during the 1940s to 60s era, probably after the original belt had worn too much. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description.
