Available here is an antique pair of California style spurs with old studded spur leathers. These are an older pair of single mounted spurs and the inner heel bands have chased iron designs. The outer heel bands have inlaid silver designs. The top of each of the chap guards were also decorated with a silver button. They have 14 point handmade rowels and original heel chains. The old leather straps are decorated with basket weave designs and five brass studs of various sizes. A large, brass concho completes the design. A great antique pair of spurs for your collection.
The history of bits and spurs in North America begins with the Spanish who first came to the new world in the 1500s, bringing horses and livestock with them. The Spanish colonial style is the predecessor of the Californian and Mexican styles we know today. These spurs are fine examples of that heritage. Make these yours today!
