Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS THE COMISSION?

Our comission is based on a very fair sliding scale, which is designed to accomodate several different classes and values of assets. For more information regarding comission, please contact us.

WHEN WILL MY ITEMS SELL?

Depends largely on when you get your items to Western Trading Post. Generally, we hold auctions once a month. We want to thoroughly research, photograph, describe, and advertise your collection, giving it the attention it deserves prior to its sale.

HOW QUICKLY DO I GET PAID?

We pride ourselves in having one of the fastest payout times in the auction industry. Contractually, we pay within 14 business days of the auction the items sell in.

DO YOU HAVE RESERVES?

With research and experience, we've found that competitive bidding maximizes value for sellers—reserves detract from bidder participation. Research has proven low starting prices and low (or no) reserves attracts thousands more potential bidders, ensuring your items get the proper bidder competition they deserve. We've used this method to great success. In special cases however, we’re happy to discuss reasonable reserve options on high value items.
