Offered here for your consideration is "Sunday Morning Blues" a multi-colored bronze by David Lemon. Colored bronze is used to add effect and contrast to bronze sculpture. It is usually in shades of brown, blue, silver, and gold. This particular bronze features a cowboy on Sunday morning looking a bit disheveled after a wild Saturday night (alcohol bottle on the floor, boot on his belt, and sleeves in ragged shape). His shirt has been colored silver, his vest and boots, a reddish brown, and the alcohol bottle a light gold color. The bronze rests on a multi layer distressed wooden base. This is a very eye catching and humorous piece that would look great in your home or your office! Add it to your collection today!
MAKER: David Lemon. Lemon is a gold medal winning artist whose work has been shown in the United States, Canada, and as far away as Jakarta, Indonesia. He is a member of the Gallup, New Mexico Indian Artist's Group, " Gathering of the Masters". "Lemon’s sculpting career began his senior year in high school when he signed up for a ceramics class. All thumbs when it came to throwing pots, David’s teacher suggested he try his hand at sculpting the terra-cotta clay. His efforts earned him three scholarships. For the next twelve years, David served in the U.S. Navy and sculpted only as a hobby, slowly, freely developing his own unique style. In 1977, he entered a sculpture in the Utah State Fair. Taking first place honors, he gained the confidence he needed and launched his professional career as a sculptor." (from Mountain Trails Gallery website).
