Offered here is a ten strand double jocla turquoise and coral necklace. This grand necklace features numerous turquoise beads and coral nugget beads. There are two double joclas of turquoise beads with shell accents that are unattached, but can hang at the bottom of the necklace. The necklace and joclas are both strung on a wax cord, and the neck is conjoined by a Pueblo wrap. Jocla is the Navajo word for "ear string". The Navajo and Pueblo natives would often wear all their jewelry for safekeeping. Their extra “ear strings” or earrings, were often tied to the bottom of their necklaces. Later, this evolved into a popular necklace style. A great add to any collection!
