DESCRIPTION: Offered here is a turquoise tufa cast bolo tie by award winning Hopi artist, Roy Talaheftewa. The slide on this bolo is a great tufa cast design with a singular beautiful turquoise cabochon. It sits on a wonderful braided black leather cord with custom sterling silver tips.
MAKER: Hallmarked with a water bug (inside a circle, C. 1990). Roy Talaheftewa (1955-; Hopi). Active since 1970s. Best-of-Show 1986 Indian Market. Multiple award winner.
APPROX AGE: Fairly contemporary.
SIZE: The leather cord measures 40 inches in length, including the tips. The slide measures 2-3/4 inches long (from top to bottom) x 1-5/8 inch wide at the widest part. It weighs a total of 68.5 grams.
