It also comes with Bohlin letterhead from her desk and old catalogs. This beautiful watch bracelet was done by Bud Phillips of the Bohlin shop and features a 14K gold leaf design accented with gold twisted wire, gold floral appliques, diamonds, emeralds. and a matching three piece buckle set to fasten it. There is an "H" on the buckle. The beautiful watch bracelet sports a gold Wittnauer watch face. Along with this watch is a package of letterhead stationary stating "A Bohlin note from Helena Kropke" and two catalogs from "Bohlin Leather & Silverworks". MAKER: Edward Bohlin Co.. Bohlin migrated to the United States at age 17. He opened his first leather goods shop in Cody, Wyoming at the age of 20 in 1915. He eventually moved to Hollywood and outfitted top stars including John Wayne, Clark Gable, Roy Rogers and others. He even made a silver telephone for Mae West. He was known internationally as a premier saddle maker and precious metals artist. Presidents, emperors, and kings have owned items made by the Bohlin shop, which has been called "The Tiffany of the West" (taken from his catalog). Bud Phillips was one of Bohlin's workers and was a master metal smith himself.
