Available here for your consideration is a vintage silver overlay spade bit by Bud and Jack Morris. This is a nicely engraved bit accented with silver dots. It features a spade mouthpiece with two rollers and copper wrapped braces. This is a good looking, very functional bit and it would be a nice addition to a collection, or it could be put to good use!
PROVENANCE: Ex Ritchie Morgan collection. (Also marked RM2)
MAKER: Stamped MORRIS. Bud (1895-1959) and Jack (1920-1966) Morris were a father and son team who opened their own shop in 1946. Bud learned bit and spur making by working at Keyston Brothers of San Francisco and Jack learned while working at Visalia. 
APPROX AGE: Vintage circa 1946 - 1966. 
SIZE: The mouth measures 5 inches wide and it is 8 1/8 inches long overall on the cheeks.
CONDITION: Good for its age with normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
