DESCRIPTION: Presented here for your consideration is a Zuni Mudhead inlay bracelet. This fantastic bracelet features an outstanding Zuni Mudhead inlay of coral, turquoise, mother of pearl and onyx with fine silverwork of twisted wire, dots, and even more! Mudheads, or the "Koyemsi" are Native American Hopi clown figures that dance, play drums and interact with the audience at most all Hopi ceremonies. The name Mudhead, is derived from their masks, which are composed of hardened mud.

MAKER: Hallmarked ARP, ZUNI. Augustine Pinto (1921-2002; Zuni). Augustine Pinto shares the stamp with his wife Rosalie Pinto. 

APPROX AGE: Vintage. 

SIZE: This bracelet measures 6-1/2 inches from end to end on the silver plus a 1 inch gap (fits a 7-1/2 inch wrist). It measures 2-1/2 inches wide at the widest part, and weighs 71.7 grams.
