DESCRIPTION: For your consideration here is a great vintage spade bit which features hand-engraved inlays in the shanks. The silver has not been tested, but it's tarnished like sterling silver should be. Eduardo Grijalva was a well-know bit and spur maker from Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico who passed in 1994. His family descendants carry on the Grijalva bit and spur making tradition, marking them with the EG* hallmark, to this day. This particular bit looks like it was seldom used and is a fine chance to own an older Grijalva bit from circa the 1970s in wonderful condition, from a well-known collection. Provenance: Ex. Ritchie Morgan collection (the bit came to us directly from the family).

MAKER: Hallmarked EG* (Edwardo Grijalva, 1914-1994).

APPROX AGE: Circa 1970s.

SIZE: It has a 5 inch mouth piece and is 8-1/2 inches long overall.

CONDITION: Good for its age, minimal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
