Offered here for your consideration is an action bronze by Rusty Phelps featuring a cowboy and a bear, after the bear has just taken a cow. The cowboy is trying desperately to control his horse as he assesses the situation. The detail on this bronze is outstanding, and makes it look so real! This bronze is numbered 13 out of 45. The artist has used artificial patination to create more detail and depth to this piece.  "Artificial patinas are applied to bronze using chemical solutions which react with the surface to form a thin layer of coloured corrosion products. Patinas can be transparent or opaque and are sometimes applied in a number of layers to produce widely varied effects. Patination has been used as a decorative technique on metals by many different cultures for thousands of years." (from Conservation Journal, April 1999, Issue 31). This great bronze would look great in your home or your office! Add it to your collection today!
