Exquisite Shell and Inlay Concho Belt, Bracelet and Bolo Tie by Ray Adakai, son of Jack Adakai

Offered for your consideration is an exquisite shell and inlay concho belt, bracelet and bolo tie by Ray Adakai, son of Jack Adakai. This statement set features a concho belt with six large conchos and matching buckle, a bracelet and bolo tie, which have been made out of extra conchos that were on the belt. All the concho's feature spiny oyster shells, accented with turquoise, mother of pearl, and black onyx inlay, resting in sterling silver, hand stamped bezels with scalloped edges and twisted wire accents. The hefty bracelet is on a sterling silver three wire terminal with beautiful hand stamped and repousse designs. The matching bolo tie is on a handmade black braided leather cord with custom sterling silver tips and dangles and the concho belt is on a nice black leather belt for easy wear. MAKER: Hallmarked: RAY ADAKAI (1965-; Navajo).  Son of Jack Adakai (1953-1996; Navajo). Market award winner. Hallmark is on the belt buckle.  All conchos were originally on the belt and two were removed to make the bracelet and bolo tie. 
APPROX AGE: Fairly Modern (meaning 1980s or newer)
SIZE: The belt overall length measures approximately 54 inches end to end and 1 1/2 inches wide. The conchos each measure approximately 3 3/4 inches wide x 4 1/4 inches tall. The buckle measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide x 4 1/4 inches tall. The total weight of the belt is 4 LBS.  The bracelet measures approximately 6 3/4 inches from end to end on the silver, and has a 1 1/4 inch gap (fits an 8 inch wrist). It measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide at the widest part, and the total weight is 271.4 grams. The bolo measures approximately 42 inches from tip to tip, and the slide measures approximately 4 1/8 inches long by 3 5/16 inches wide, and weighs 242.7 grams.
