This is an impressive ketoh/bow guard! It features a great sterling silver plate with repousse and hand stamped designs, all accenting three turquoise cabochons in handmade bezels. It is mounted on a nice thick leather cuff. The Navajo began making bow guards as early as 1895. The Navajo bow guard is called a ketoh. It consists of a metal plate affixed to a leather wrist or arm piece.
