Offered in this lot is a Thunderbird Shop turquoise bolo tie by Frank Patania Sr. This slide has turquoise cabochons resting in handmade sawtooth bezels on a darkened silver background with a smooth silver edge. The slide is on a black braided cord with silver stamped dangles with silver beads at the ends. This bolo tie would look great in your collection or on your favorite shirt. Get it today!
MAKER: Stamped FP conjoined with a Thunderbird symbol. Frank Patania Sr. (1899-1964; Anglo). Patania opened his Santa Fe-based Thunderbird Curios shop in 1927. He is referred to as a "William Spratling of the American Southwest". 
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between the 1930s to 1970s). 
SIZE: The leather cord measures 36 inches overall including the tips. The slide measures 2 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide, and the tips measure 2 1/4 inches long. The total weight for this item is 43.2 grams (with most of the cord off the scale).
