Offered in this lot is a vintage Kachina themed bolo by Helen Long. This slide has six turquoise cabochons resting in handmade sawtooth bezels with eye-catching flattened twisted wire, silver dots, and hand stamped and etched lines. The slide is on a black braided cord with silver tips with silver beads at the ends. This bolo will be worn for many years to come and would look great in your collection!
MAKER: Hallmarked HL (stamped). Helen Long (Navajo). Helen Long was named an Arizona Indian Living Treasure in 1999.
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between the 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: The leather cord measures 41 inches overall including the tips. The slide measures 3 1/2 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide, and the tips measure 2 1/8 inches long. The total weight for this item is 56.7 grams (with most of the cord off the scale).
