Description: A great old handmade hitched horsehair bridle that is most likely Idaho Prison made. It is a round braided black and white striped "barber pole" type of design. It has long (7 foot 7 inches) hand braided split reins with leather poppers. This headstall also has an antique Buermann "Halfbreed" bit on it that would be period correct. This is a good looking old horsehair bridle.
Maker: Buermann Bit and the headstall is attributed to being Idaho Prison made.
Approx Age: Early 1900s.
Size: Bit has a 4-1/2 inch mouth piece and is 6-1/2 inches long overall. The headstall is a standard medium to large horse size and has some adjustment.
Condition: Good for its age. Normal wear and minor imperfections expected on used and vintage items.
