DESCRIPTION: Up for your consideration is a Hopi overlay belt buckle by the well-known artist, Bernard Dawahoya. This is an amazing buckle that has a four bear paws and other designs. It's a very well done buckle with crisp lines and textured back grounds. It is made using sterling silver.
MAKER: Hallmarked with the snow cloud mark of Bernard Dawahoya (1937-2010; Hopi). Active from 1950s-2010. In 1989 was declared Arizona Indian Living Treasure and was a multiple award winner.
APPROX AGE: Circa 1970s - 80s.
SIZE: 3-5/8 inches wide X 2-5/8 inches tall. Fits a 1-5/8 inch belt. Weighs 87.7 grams.
