Description: This stunning squash blossom necklace is attributed to the master Zuni silversmith, Dan Simplicio. It is set with gorgeous, tear drop shaped turquoise nuggets in handmade bezels, handmade beads and is accented with the beautiful stamped drop designs that Simpilcio is known for. It has been tested as sterling silver. This is a GORGEOUS squash blossom necklace that is highly collectible and would go perfect in anyone's collection, plus it will look AWESOME on you! Maker: Attributed to Dan Simplicio (1917-1969), Zuni, Active during 1920-1969.

Approx. Age: Circa 1960s. Dan Simpilcio worked in the nugget-style in the 1940s with C.G. Wallace at Zuni and later with John Kennedy at the Gallup Indian Trading Company. His hallmarks are DS and five-point star (the star stamp was used in the late 1960s), however most of his work is unsigned.

Size: Fits approx. 27" around the neck. Pendant measures 3-1/8" wide X 3" long. Weighs 206g.

Condition: Good for its age. Normal wear and minor imperfections expected on used and vintage items.
