Offered for your consideration is a circa 1940s turquoise and sterling silver box bow squash blossom necklace with handmade beads. This eye catching necklace features a three wire naja created with two carinated wires and a central twisted wire, highlighted with three turquoise cabochons all resting in sawtooth bezels. The neckline is filled with 20 box bow style blossoms, each highlighted with one turquoise cabochon resting in a sawtooth bezel and accented with hand stamped design. Two strands of handmade sterling silver beads conjoined into one strand are strung on foxtail wire with silver findings at the ends, finish off this necklace nicely. MAKER: Unmarked. Likely Navajo based on style and design, however this item is unmarked (as was common of Native jewelry from this era). 
APPROX AGE: Circa 1940s.
SIZE: This necklace measures approximately 27 inches from end to end, and the naja measures approximately 2 1/4 inches across (at the widest point) x 2 inches from top to bottom. The blossoms each measure approximately 1 1/4 inches long by 7/16 inches wide. The total weight for this item is 142.3 grams.
