Description: This spade bit features hand-engraved inlays and overlay accents and has a star cut out design in the shanks. This is a pretty early Grijalva bit as it was bought directly from Edwardo Grijalva by the original owner in 1968. The silver has not been tested, but it's tarnished like sterling silver should be. Edwardo Grijalva was a well-know bit and spur maker from Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico who passed in 1994. His family descendants carry on the Grijalva bit and spur making tradition, marking them with the EG* hallmark, to this day.
