Offered here for your consideration is an early 1900s Hupa/Northern California basketry hat. These are iconic cultural symbols for the Northwestern tribes of California. Usually woven by the women of the Hupa, Kuruk and Yurok tribes. This one features stepped geometric patterns in brown, rust, and tan colors. These are generally made from Bear Grass, Maidenhair Fern, Woodwardia Fern, and Hazel Sticks. These were primarily used to protect the persons head while carrying items. This is a unique and quality piece. Make it yours today!

SIZE: This item measures approximately 6 1/4  inches across x 3 1/2 inches deep.
