DESCRIPTION: For your consideration is this pair of Juan (John) Estrada (1865 - 1942) silver mounted spurs. Estrada learned to make bits and spurs from his father, also Juan (but went by JJ). Juan also worked for G.S. Garcia from about 1896 till 1906. By about 1910, he went to work for the Goldberg, Staunton Saddlery Co. where he worked as a master engraver till about 1920. It is believed this pair of spurs were made during the period of about 1906 - 1910. They feature intricate engraving in the silver work, indicative of Juan's engraving, however, they are unsigned.

MAKER: Attributed to Juan Estrada (1865 - 1942).

APPROX AGE: Circa 1910.

SIZE: The heel opening is approx. 3 inches. The heel bands are 1/2 inches wide and the shanks are 3 inches long (including the rowels).

CONDITION: Pretty good for their age, some wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
