Description: Here is a gorgeous hand stamped sterling silver squash necklace and earring set. It has a sand-cast naja with a lovely turquoise cabochon in the center, accented with hand stamped designs. The beads are handmade with stamped designs with the blossoms featuring the same design. It is strung on foxtail chain and the matching pair of blossom earrings are screw backs. Some fun history on the squash blossom necklace; The Navajo are believed to be the first tribe to begin using the Squash Blossom design around the 1870s. By the turn of the 20th century, several other surrounding tribes had adopted the design as well.
Maker: Unmarked, but has an old traders code etched in the back.
