We're pleased to present this vintage sterling silver and turquoise bolo tie made by master Hopi artist Charles Loloma. The slide features a cast design with smooth and darkened silver finishes. At the top is a great turquoise cabochon set in a smooth silver bezel. The slide is on a black braided leather cord with a soft neck finished with sterling silver tips. This classic bolo tie would make a great addition to your collection.
MAKER: Hallmarked Loloma (etched). Charles Sequevya Loloma (1921–1991; Hopi). Loloma started his art career as a painter and muralist while attending Phoenix Indian High School. After opening his own shop in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1959, he found his true passion was in jewelry making. His jewelry was featured in the first Heard Museum Fair in 1961. He received many accolades including first prize at the Scottsdale National Indian Arts Exposition for seven years in a row.

SIZE: The bolo slide measures approximately 2 3/4 inches from top to bottom by 1 inch wide. The braided leather cord measures 44 inches overall including the tips. The tips measure 2 3/4 inches long. The total weight is approximately 41.6 grams with most of the cord off the scale.
