Available here for your consideration is a Ganado variant Navajo Rug with vegetal and aniline dyes circa 1940s - 1950s. The weaving has hand carded and hand spun wool. This features a vertical double diamond pattern in peach surrounded with grey arrowhead style motifs. The field are is primarily deep red with interlocking teeth patterns and blocks. The outer edge features three borders in white, peach and black with checkers on the outer edges. The peach appears to be from vegetal dyes, the red and black are aniline dyes, and the white is all natural. The classic Ganado Navajo rugs typically feature a large central motif and geometric double or triple borders with diamond or lozenge shaped designs and typically use a lot of red wool in the designs.
