Available here for your consideration is a Valero Star theme Navajo rug circa 1940s - 1950s. This rug is crafted from hand carded, hand spun wool. At its center, a Valero Star is set within geometric motifs against a grey field, framed by a bold red rectangular border. Surrounding the central design are additional geometric accents in white, rust, red, yellow, and brown, with Valero Stars in yellow and brown placed in each corner. The vibrant hues are achieved using aniline dyes, while the grey, white, and brown tones reflect the wool’s natural color. The piece is completed with a natural brown outer border and red end cords.
