Available here for your consideration are Benny Guitron's personal Klapper spurs. These single mounted spurs feature silver overlay with finely engraved designs along the band and shank, with the initials “B.G.” displayed on the band. The pair has 10 point rowels, engraved spur buttons and tooled leather straps in a basket weave pattern finished with silver buckles. These spurs are fine example. Don't miss out.
MAKER: Marked S 77 KLAPPER (stamped). Billy Ray Klapper (1939-2024). Klapper started off as a ranch hand in TX. He took up bit and spur making in 1966, learning the craft from Adolph Bayers. By the late 1960s his work was in such high demand, he became a full-time bit and spur maker. During his career, Klapper developed 682 spur patterns and 816 bit patterns.
APPROX AGE: Fairly Modern.
SIZE: The heel openings measure 3 inches, the band width measures 1 1/8 inches and the shanks measure 3 inches long overall. 
CONDITION: Good for their age with normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
