DESCRIPTION: Offered here is rare Navajo Third Phase Chief's blanket made from Germantown wool. This Transitional period weaving is very fine and clean and you can tell it was made as a wearing blanket, not a rug. It features the traditional classic striped designs, accented with triangular blocks indicative of a 3rd phase style. We'll say it again, this is a very finely woven wearing blanket from circa the 1890s and it is very clean as far as condition goes!

MAKER: An unknown Navajo weaver.

APPROX. AGE: Circa 1890s.

SIZE: Measures approx. 47 inches wide X 57-1/2 inches long.
