Offered for consideration is an Arizona prison horsehair bridle and what appears to be a prison made bit. The hitched horsehair bridle has traits of both Yuma and Florence, so it's hard to tell exactly where it is from. It has been written that men who spent time in each of those prisons often turned out work that looked like a collaboration from both institutions. The bit is likely prison made as well as it has that look to it. This is a colorful bridle that displays nicely.
MAKER: Unknown inmate(s).
APPROX AGE: Circa 1900 to 1920.
SIZE: Mouth is 5 inches wide on the bit and overall it is 8 3/4 inches long. The Headstall is a pretty standard size.
CONDITION: Pretty good for its age, some wear and fading expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
