Description: Here is a stunning 1960s turquoise squash blossom necklace. This beautiful necklace is set with 18 lovely turquoise cabochons and accented with twisted wire and simply silverwork. It is sterling silver, has handmade beads and is strung on a fine chain. Some fun history on the squash blossom necklace; The Navajo are believed to be the first tribe to begin using the Squash Blossom design around the 1870s. By the turn of the 20th century, several other surrounding tribes had adopted the design as well.

Approx. Age: Circa 1960s.

Size: It fits approx. 24 inches around the neck. The pendant measures 2-7/8 inches wide X 2-3/4 inches long. It weighs 205.3 g.

Condition: Good for its age. Normal wear and minor imperfections expected on used and vintage items.
