For your consideration we offer a pair of California style spurs with leather spur straps which have nice conchos. The heel bands of these single mounted spurs are decorated with metal buttons with engraved silver patters to each side. The shanks and rowel pin covers are decorated with silver as well and the plain leather straps are enhanced with an etched silver concho covering buttons. Heel chains, chap guards and ten point rowels complete this pair. Get these for your collection now! 
The history of bits and spurs in North America begins with the Spanish who first came to the new world in the 1500s, bringing horses and livestock with them. The Spanish colonial style is the predecessor of the Californian and Mexican styles we know today. This is a nice example of that progression.
MAKER: Unmarked.
APPROX AGE: Antiques (meaning made prior to the 1930s). 
SIZE: The heel openings measure 3 1/4 inches, the band width measures 5/8 inches and the shanks measure 2 5/8 inches long overall.
