DESCRIPTION: Offered here is a great California spade bit by Jose Figueroa to add to your collection! It is mounted with engraved silver accents down the shanks and it sports a spade mouth piece. The bars and mouth are wrapped in copper and there is even a little copper roller at the top of the spade. The original slobber chains are still there and it has nice rein chains.
MAKER: Unmarked but attributed by engraving and style to Jose Figueroa (1880-1948). It also has 2 little dots stamped into the steel on the inside of the purchase ring area, also said to be a trait of Figueroa.
APPROX AGE: Early 1900s.
SIZE: It has a 5" mouth piece. It is 8" long overall.
