DESCRIPTION: Presented here is a Hopi overlay bolo and belt buckle set. This amazing set features a bolo slide and belt buckle with stunning overlay work in the form of a Kokopelli figure and other great designs. Each item features a beautiful singular turquoise cabochon that sits on a background of darkened and brushed silver. The slide sits on a great black, braided leather cord, with two sterling silver tips.
MAKER: Hallmarked H Y (and a Sunface), and H Yowtewa. Hubert Yowytewa (?-1991; Hopi). Active 1960s-1991.
APPROX AGE: Circa 1970s.
SIZE: The braided leather cord measures 40 inches including the tips, with the slide measuring 2-7/8 inches all around. The buckle measures 3-7/8 inches wide x 2-1/2 inches tall, and fits up to a 1-3/4 inch belt. The total weight for these items is 199.8 grams.
