DESCRIPTION: For your consideration is this incredible inlay bolo tie by the award winning artist, Sonwai. This is an outstanding bolo with a sterling tufa cast style slide that is set with cobblestone inlay consisting of turquoise, coral and lapis. It has fine gold accents between the stones. It has custom tips, also with small gold dots accents. It is on a hand braided black leather cord. Quite the treasure!
MAKER: Hallmarked Sonwai (Verma Nequatewa, 1949-; Hopi). She has been active since 1960s. She is also the niece of the award winning artist Charles Loloma and studied under him.
APPROX AGE: Fairly modern.
SIZE: Braided cord measures 46 inches long including tips. Slide measures 2-3/4 inches long X 1-1/8 inches wide. Weighs 67.8 grams.
