Klagetoh With Whirling Log Design - Circa 1930 to 1940

Available here for your consideration is a Klagetoh with Whirling Log designs. This piece is hand carded and hand spun wool. This textile features an elongated central diamond pattern on a grey background with brown and white framed by black intertwined whirling design patterns. The corners showcase vibrant red and cream blocks finished with brown and cream stepped geometric fret pattern border. The Klagetoh Trading Post was owned by Juan Lorenzo Hubbell who also owned the Ganado Trading Post in Arizona. Over the years weavers in the region have continued making rugs in the Klagetoh style expanding the complexity and color palette used.

APPROX AGE: Circa 1930 - 1940.
SIZE: This rug measures 55 inches wide x 91 inches long.
