DESCRIPTION: Available for your consideration is a Navajo inlay bracelet by Ervin Tsosie. Set in silver, Ervin's work is intricately inlaid with hand-cut, semi-precious stones such as jet, pink coral, onyx, sugilite, mother of pearl and turquoise, portraying a figure on a background of stars on the night sky. The inlay is on a smooth silver band, with a tapered end. Tsosie is a self-taught artist and much of his work is based on ceremonial and mythical figures and spiritual beings representing Navajo culture.
MAKER: Hallmarked ET (stamped). Ervin Tsosie (1970-; Navajo). Active since 1980s.
APPROX AGE: Fairly modern.
SIZE: This item measures 5- 1/4 inches from end to end on the silver plus a 1- 1/8 inch gap (fits a 6- 3/8 inch wrist). It measures 3/4 inch wide at the widest point and weighs a total of 39.9 grams.
