Description: This is a better kind of handcrafted bracelet from the Fred Harvey Era. It features a beautiful turquoise stone with nice matrix. Has silver drops and wire appliqué accenting the bezel area and hand stamping down the terminals. Tested as sterling or at least coin silver.
Maker: Most likely Navajo or Pueblo, but there is not maker's mark (as was common of Native Style jewelry from this era).
Approx. Age: Vintage (Circa 1930s - 50s).
Size: Inside circumference measures 5 3/4" plus there is just over a 1 1/8" gap (making this bracelet fit about a 6 1/4" wrist). It is about 1 1/8" wide across the face and weighs 34.9 g.
Additional info: The Fred Harvey Era refers to a time frame from about the mid 1950s back to around the turn of the last century. Tourist bought Native Jewelry and other items while traveling by Rail and later by Highway. This old bracelet is from that era and likely came from one of the shops that made several of these. It was tested as being either sterling (.925) or at least coin (.900) silver.
Condition: Good for its age. Normal wear and minor imperfections expected on used and vintage items.
