For your pleasure we present a vintage Preston Monongye sterling silver overlay bracelet. Preston Monongye was an award winning, master artisan adopted by the Monongye family in Hopi. This bracelet features two deep darkened waterbirds and a center diamond overlay design with near perfect cut outs and lines on a smooth silver cuff. A stamping technique was used to create a textured background which was then darkened to emphasize and add contrast to the design.  Overlay jewelry consists of two pieces of silver soldered together. The top layer has a design drawn and cut out. When the design is complete, the top layer is soldered to a second layer of silver, which will show through the open areas of the design on the top.
