DESCRIPTION: Available here is a vintage turquoise and sterling silver Manta pin. This pin features 31 stunning turquoise cabochons in handmade sawtooth bezels. The settings are accented with beautiful loops of twisted wire and silver dots. Manta pins were used as a shoulder closure for the Pueblo dress or shawl called a "Manta." Many of the Pueblo tribes wore these and some had slight variations in design. These pins started to disappear as the style of dress began to change and the need for them went to the way side. They are largely used as a brooch now.
