Here for your consideration is a nice pair of antique spurs that are single mounted on the outer heel bands and chased iron on the inner heel bands. The outside heel bands are inlaid with an elongated diamond shaped silver design, and the shanks, bearing four silver decorative rectangles and chap guards, terminate in sharp 10 point handmade rowels. Nice, vintage leather straps with silver conchos complete this beautiful pair of spurs.
The history of bits and spurs in North America begins with the Spanish who first came to the new world in the 1500s, bringing horses and livestock with them. The Spanish colonial style is the predecessor of the Californian and Mexican styles we know today. These spurs are fine examples of that heritage. Make your bid today!
